Receptionist – Hotel

Summary:
We are seeking a professional and friendly individual to join our team as a Hotel Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to our guests. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for guests, handling inquiries, reservations, and check-ins/check-outs, while ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests upon arrival and provide a warm welcome.
  • Assist guests with check-in/check-out procedures, including processing payments and issuing room keys.
  • Handle reservations, cancellations, and modifications, both in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, amenities, local attractions, and dining options.
  • Provide information and recommendations to guests to enhance their stay.
  • Manage guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk area, including stocking supplies and keeping records up to date.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel staff to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and handling incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including hotel management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of local attractions, transportation options, and dining establishments is beneficial.
  • Fluency in multiple languages may be advantageous, depending on the hotel’s clientele.
